According to a few different research, working out to music is beneficial:
One British study claims that the increasing the tempo of your music can increase your output.
Another study by University of Pavia in Italy claims that music can trigger direct change in cardiovascular and respiratory system.
There is some proof, however, music can only do so much. While music is helpful during moderate exercise, helping to narrow focus and reduce perceived exertion. However, when it comes to hard and intense exercise, music does not do much to help.
On a personal note, I find having music during my cardio exercise makes it more fun and helps me focus on moving to the pace. Time to get your workout playlist together!
